Indeed Awesome, Senate president Saraki Bukola did an awesome job by reconciling two conflicting parties.
Thanks to Senate President, Bukola Saraki's
intervention, indications have shown that a possible reconciliation between
Senator Dino Melaye and Senator Oluremi Tinubu is now underway, Vanguard reports.
Saraki reportedly met with Melaye and Tinubu
separately to finally put an end to the ongoing spat between the two senators
who both belong to the All Progressives Congress political party.
The Senate President is believed to have told both
to end their war of words for the unity of the Senate and to protect their
integrity as well as that of the Senate.
At the conclusion of both meetings, Tinubu and
Melaye agreed to end their squabble that has been an ongoing controversy that
has been played out publicly.
Benaija reported that Tinubu alleged that
Melaye threatened to rape her in a petition she sent to the leaderships of the
APC and the Senate.
The petition followed an earlier letter to the
acting Inspector of Police, Ibrahim Idris, in which she asked for “adequate
security” for fear Melaye might kill her.
Senator Melaye previously berated the national
leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu for threatening to deal with him, reacting to
Tinubu's comments that he will deal with the Kogi senator for making defamatory
remarks to his wife.
Melaye was accused by Oluremi Tinubu of threatening
to beat her up and impregnate her after the two had a disagreement over
the forgery scandal involving the Senate leadership.
